Endress+Hauser
Transforming an empty atrium into a creative workspace that people actually wanted to use.
THE BRIEF
Endress+Hauser had just unveiled its new Customer Experience Centre. Next to it sat an atrium, light-filled, full of potential, but not exactly somewhere you’d choose to spend time.
They wanted a space that worked harder, a space to pause between meetings or have a catch-up that felt comfortable and informal. It needed to be functional, yet unmistakably them.

What we delivered
Bespoke bench seating
Each bench was designed and bespoke-built specifically for the atrium, made to fit its exact proportions. The shapes kept the space feeling open, while still creating defined areas to sit. Custom-made, upholstered seat pads were tailored to each bench, creating an inviting space, built to be long-lasting.
A layered decorative wall feature
Behind two seating areas, we introduced a layered wall design using slat panels in a warm wood veneer finish. The pattern was abstract but precise, with integrated LED strips running through the panels. This subtle lighting added depth and texture, turning the walls into a feature rather than a backdrop.
Cohesive LED lighting integration
Lighting was used to set the tone for the space. LED strips were built into the benches, highlighting their curves and creating a gentle glow. Above, circular pendant lights lit the space, adding a calm, consistent atmosphere to the atrium.
THE EXPERIENCE
The refurbished atrium now feels bright, comfortable, and distinctly part of Endress+Hauser’s space.
The seating works around the natural flow of the room, making the most of corners and edges without overcrowding. It’s somewhere their team can comfortably work, mmeet, or pause between tasks, with lighting and finishes that ake it feel considered rather than corporate.
