Wagamama Battersea
Bringing the brand’s signature energy to Battersea.
The Brief
As part of Wagamama’s evolving light scheme, this Battersea site was designed to reflect a closer connection to local communities.
While following in the footsteps of the brand’s larger flagship restaurants, the space called for a more intimate feel, a balance between recognisable Wagamama identity and a layout suited to its suburban surroundings.

What we delivered
Bespoke metalwork & chef's counter
Custom metalwork played a key role in shaping the restaurant layout. From fabricated chef’s tops to subtle metal partitions, each detail was designed to enhance visibility and flow while maintaining moments of privacy within the Wagamama Battersea dining space.
Tailored upholstery and joinery
The seating combined comfort with craftsmanship. Timber booth seating, leather-upholstered stools, and external furniture were all made bespoke. Each piece was designed and built in-house, ensuring consistency across finishes and durability for a busy dining environment.
Hand-finished materials
Materials were carefully treated to achieve a refined look. Timber elements underwent a two-stage bleaching process to balance natural variation, while steel components were sandblasted, lacquered, and powder-coated for a clean, durable finish that complemented the restaurant’s aesthetic.
THE EXPERIENCE
The Wagamama Battersea site formed part of a wider design scheme successfully rolled out across the UK.
Each location reflected Wagamama’s identity in its own unique way. Every component, from the handcrafted joinery to the finished materials, showcased the attention to detail that defines the brand.
